Stay Safe Online at our Digital Community Hub

We're delighted to be hosting our second round of digital skills sessions by ClearCommunityWeb!

Staying Safe Online  supports learners to increase their awareness of the risks, what to look out for and build confidence in keeping themselves safe online. Through discussions, practical activities and demonstrations you will explore different topics such as scam messages and social media safety in a friendly and supportive environment.

This course is open to anyone wanting to know how they can keep themselves safe online, fill in some gaps or overcome barriers they are facing in using their computers, tablets or smartphones.

No laptop, no problem! We can support you with a laptop of your own if you don't have a device.

Community Connectivity with Promising Trouble

We're delighted to be working with Promising Trouble to explore community internet in south London.

Connectivity is a huge barrier for many people in our community. With rising costs, unreliable connections and confusing messaging, a monthly broadband subscription is not an option for many, and in some cases contributes to increased debt and financial anxiety.

With support from Impact on Urban Health, we will be exploring connectivity in south London, leanring from the local community and looking at providing a free (or extremely low cost) community solution.

Learn more about the project and read more into Promisiong Trouble's research into the issue here.

Huge thank you to the team and Kyndryl for supporting our work, the team worked on 64 devices during their day with us 😊

Corporate Volunteering Days

We're excited to have recently launched our Corporate Volunteering Programme at Community TechAid.

We offer bespoke volunteering opportunities for businesses keen to support their local community and learn more about our work.

As a small charity, volunteers are integral to our work and even just 3 hours can make a huge difference.

If you're interested in learning more, or would like to book a session send us an email: [email protected]
